Union Switch & Signal, Inc. (US&S) is currently looking for a Sr. Systems Engineer for our Pittsburgh, PA location:

 

 

Summary:

This job will consist of the system level design and development of Communications Based Train Control (CBTC) signaling systems.

 

The duties will consist of:Generating system, subsystem, and functional requirementsDeveloping test/validation requirementsProviding customer support to project management and marketing

 

Specifically required to:

 Interface with customers, end users, suppliers, co-suppliers and other technical organizations to define the operational and performance requirements of CBTC signaling applications. 

 Provide thorough and detailed requirements to the development/application organizations for implementation. 

 Generate test plans, cases, and procedures as well as provide oversight for the system level testing, validation and commissioning of CBTC signaling systems.

 Provide overall technical coordination for several separate engineering organizations, all performing subsystem level application engineering on CBTC projects.

 

Experience:

 12+ years of experience

 Essential jobs functions shall have consisted of system level design and development of complex electronic control systems

 Experience in specification generation, requirements analysis, requirements flow down and requirements traceability

 Experience analyzing an evaluating the performance of complex systems

 Experience generating trade studies

 Experience developing products in a lifecycle process (CENELEC, IEEE)

 Experience in, or knowledge of, train control principles and signaling
