Sr. Project Engineer

Job Description:

Plan, schedule and execute capital projects as assigned to support the needs of the facility and the implementation of the facility capital plan.  Provide technical support to Manufacturing and Maintenance on an as needed basis.

Duties include, but are not limited to:  Manage and execution of projects that requires leading of diverse groups toward scope definition.  Specification development and preparation if bid package.  Complete project development and execution including planning between engineering, contractors, manufacturing, maintenance and validation.  Provide technical support and continuous backup to the maintenance function via trouble shooting/repair of equipment and systems.  Evaluate new technologies for application of “Best Available Technologyâ€� into Bausch & Lomb Process. Ensure compliance with cGMPs, codes and Federal Regulations.  Provide technical support to ensure efficient operation of manufacturing process

Qualifications:

Education:  BS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent. Experience: 7 years experience in a manufacturing related project engineering role with 3years in a pharmaceutical related industry utilizing aseptic processing.  Must have a working knowledge of utility support systems, sterilization, bulk manufacturing, aseptic filling, packaging and facilities. Special Skills: AutoCAD, MS Office applications. Specialized Training: PLC programming and applications.
