The candidate will be assigned to ENERGY SERVICES DIVISION TEAM in NEW YORK CITY. Candidate must be familiar with the current technologies associated with chilled water and steam/hot water systems. Responsibilities will include the development of the technical approach for central plants, and take a lead role in the production of detail design documents. The successful candidate will also be asked to support business development, proposal writing, and project management activities. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Senior Mechanical Engineer with 10-15 years of experience in engineering/design specializing in chiller plants/ central utility plants. Specific experience in the design and documentation of large chilled water generation and chilled water distribution systems in a campus environment is preferred. Specific experience with the design and documentation of chilled water plants in the Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, and College and University Markets is a plus. Working knowledge of steam boilers and distribution systems is preferred. Specific experience in energy and life cycle cost analysis of plant components is preferred. Specific experience with campus sized underground distribution systems is also a plus. Knowledge of cogeneration plant design will be a plus but is not the focus of the position. Ideal candidate to be versed in AutoCAD, Trane Trace (or other energy analysis program), hydraulic calculations (compressible and incompressible flows), pipe stress analysis programs, MS Project, MS Power Point, MS Office Suite. Candidate must have a PE license and must possess exceptional oral and written communication skills. Published works in trade journals and LEED accreditation are a plus. Candidate must be willing to travel as part of the position.
