 General Description

Thielsch Engineering is a leading Consulting Engineering Services Company with national and international recognition in providing a broad range of coordinated engineering consultation, failure analysis, project supervision and technical expert services to chemical process plants, refineries, fertilizer plants, power plants, pulp and paper mills and other industrial plants.

Thielsch Engineering, Inc is seeking a Solidworks drafter. This person is responsible for the creation of 3-D assemblies utilizing 2-D blueprints. Assemblies can range from under 100 parts to up to 1000 parts. The type of work includes pressure piping, pressure vessels, boilers, HRSG’s, steam turbines and related critical components for the power & process industries. Opportunity for national and international travel. Excellent technical writing, communication and organizational skills required. Attention to detail ESSENTIAL. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, AutoCAD, Solidworks (Required), and PDMWorks (plus). A mechanical background not required but considered a plus.

This is a FULL time salaried position commensurate with experience.

-  6 months – 2 years experience using Solidworks, PDMWorks experience preferred, not required. education requirements

-  High school diploma or GED

 SPECIAL SKILLS

-  Computer and Database skills. Must be able to read and understand blueprints. Background in mechanical drafting a plus. No design experience needed. Candidate should be detail oriented.
