Tellus Applied Sciences is a software and systems engineering company seeking a software systems engineer to work on the Landsat Data Processing and Archiving development project. Upon its completion, this system will provide long term data archiving, product generation, and product distribution capability for delivery of Landsat imagery to the general public.

 

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related field. It also requires 5 years experience in computer applications programming in a structured software development environment. Experience with programming in C or C++ in a Linux or Unix operating system environment is required. The successful candidate will have participated in the full life-cycle of software application development, and be comfortable working in a highly interactive software development team setting.  He/she must also possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.

 

It is highly desirable (but not required) that the candidate have knowledge of database design, Service Oriented Architectures, satellite image processing techniques, an understanding of radiometric and/or geometric subject matter, and familiarity with Satellite platforms.

 

Either US Citizenship or a Green Card is required.
