Senior Water Resources Project Engineer, to join the growing team of professionals in our Baltimore office.

 

DMJM Harris Baltimore has challenging opportunities for a senior water resources project engineer who shall work on several large design-bid-build and design-build highway and transit projects.  We require a candidate with extensive expertise in design of transportation drainage systems, stormwater management facilities, and erosion & sediment controls for various site conditions and clients.  The position requires prior usage of hydrologic drainage area models along with hydraulic pipe and control structures modeling.  As a consummate professional, the candidate has spent 5 to 10 years in project management, design and business development in the consulting engineering industry for the private and public sectors, preferably within the mid-Atlantic region.

 

The candidate will lead technical production and coordinate with the project managers and clients to provide high quality projects.  The candidate must have enough experience to work independently and lead a project team, and will be responsible for both technical and some financial management of transportation design projects.  Design experience will range from conceptual design through construction documents.  The candidate is expected to technically guide drafters/designers with less experience.  DMJM Harris offers a comprehensive benefits plan, flex time options and, as a publicly traded company, and the option to purchase shares in the company.  Other benefits include a challenging working environment and generous compensation.

Appropriate academic qualifications are assumed, and a professional license to practice civil engineering is strongly preferred.
