Senior Transportation Project Manager
BS in Civil Engineering. 10 years of broad experience with all aspects of highway design (including planning, preliminary engineering, final design, and construction support phases). Extensive experience with highway widening, interchange, and intersection projects. 10 years with Caltrans project development process. PE in California. Proven management skills in planning and design of both medium and major highway projects from $5M to $100M in construction cost. Broad technical experience in highway project development and demonstrated ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team with a hands-on style. Proven ability to develop and maintain client contacts with minimum supervision. Microsoft Word,Excel and knowledge of CADD programs.Must be production oriented and comfortable with delivering projects with aggressive schedules, committed to rigorous quality control procedures, and dedicated to client service and value. Job Description : The candidate will be expected to grow and manage the firm's transportation business in the URS' Fresno Branch, with a hands-on," doer-seller" style. The position will report directly to the Fresno branch manager and fill a leadership role in URS' Central Valley Sub-region, particularly in the San Joaquin Valley. Duties will include: manage highway planning and design activities; plans production; develop and maintain project scope, schedule and budget; supervise multi-disciplinary teams including sub-consultants and staff from other URS offices; prepare for and chair project meetings; client contact management; and assist with business development including preparation of proposals and interviews for new projects. It will require extensive coordination and collaboration with the sub-region's transportation practice leader, based in Roseville, and with the other engineering, environmental and planning department managers in the Fresno office.
