Senior Transportation Manager, Civil Engineer
Our client is a Pacific Northwest based transportation, traffic planning and engineering firm with a 30 year presence providing consulting services to both public and private sector clients. As an industry leader, their experience is extensive, skills are varied, and their attention to local regulation and requirements are steadfast. They approach every project with an emphasis on quality, enthusiasm, and urgency - with satisfaction resting entirely on that of their clients. Their functional service areas are Traffic Analysis, Traffic Engineering, Transportation Planning and Transportation Engineering with a client emphasis to municipalities throughout the states of Washington. Oregon and Idaho. Their engineers provide for the design of improved access to driveways and parking areas, traffic calming, street lighting, traffic signals or roundabouts, striping and other channelization, sidewalks and bus stops. The firm also designs Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) to help monitor and operate road systems in real-time. As a result of continued growth, we have been asked to undertake a search for a Transportation Engineer with eight (8) or more years of consulting experience to join their Seattle area office. We seek a Civil Engineer with registration as a PE in Washington or the ability to obtain Washington registration via reciprocity within 6 months. The key to your success will be your communications skills, both written and verbal and your ability to work successfully with clients reflecting the company's culture as well. You may start out as either an Engineer or Project Manager, depending upon your years of experience and the specific benefits you would bring to the organization. This is an opportunity to participate in the firms expansion to meet the increased demand for transportation planning, design and engineering for various municipalities throughout the Pacific Northwest. Marketing and Business Development with client services to municipal and county clients, again throughout the Pacific Northwest is an essential function as well. The firm offers an excellent benefit program in addition to a highly competitive compensation package that will be based upon the experience and benefits you would bring to the organization. Additional benefits include flexible work hours, paid vacation, sick leave, paid holidays, additional longevity vacation, employer-paid medical and dental insurance, group disability, life insurance for employees, a program for dependent medical insurance, fund pension and profit sharing plans and professional education and development allowances.
