Description
The Senior Telecommunications Engineer/Satellite Terminal Designer will assist in the system engineering process for Satellite systems. The process includes but limited to system concept definition, requirement and functional analysis, system design, integrated engineering analysis, system integration, system verification and system validation.
Key skills required are: designing of terrestrial terminals; use of CAD software, and actual integration of the system components.
A current DOD Top Secret clearance is required for this position.
Requirements
10 years of satellite experience and 5 years or more years experience with system design with emphasize on earth stations, Hands on experience in researching, designing, integrating, implementing and operating systems. Experience providing SETA support for wireless systems. Experience with video over satellite is a plus. BS degree in Electrical Engineering or related field such as computer science, or physics. Master’s Degree may be substituted for 2 years experience. Systems engineering related to satellite ground systems, technical documentation, effective communications skills. Experience drawing and documenting systems using a CAD software. PMP certification a plus. An active US DoD Top Secret clearance is required for this position.
