Senior Technical Analyst: Tier 2 support for new video technologies
The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Technical Analyst position for our ATG West Engineering Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Essential Job Functions:
Provide tier-2 level support on new Video Technologies being deployed within the Time Warner Divisions. Must be able to troubleshoot, perform preventive maintenance, and provide technical phone support in a 24/7 environment and also be available for on-call duty . Required to document trouble calls/outages using a trouble ticketing system 95%. Training on and reviewing new technologies 5%.
Job Requirements:
• Two years experience in Networking Concepts (Servers, Routers)
• Two Years Experience in Network Troubleshooting
• Knowledge of Computer Hardware
• Linux Red Hat Concepts
• Oracle Concepts
• Knowledge of Business Management Systems
• Knowledge iCom and CSG Billing Systems
• Knowledge of XML-based communications
• Knowledge of RF Headend Operations
• Experience with Provisioning Systems
• Experience in a 24/7 NOC setting
• Uses professional concepts; applies company policies and procedures to resolve a variety of issues.
Attention to detail, analytical ability, a person who sees projects through, a person that can be both proactive and reactive, the ability to keep accurate, organized records, a self-starter, outstanding communication skills, professional demeanor, the ability to display empathy, people oriented, and a team player.
• Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors.
• Exercises judgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.
• Has internal and some external contacts.
• Normally receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instructions on new projects or assignments.
Education and Experience:
• Preferred - B.S. Degree in Computer and Networking Applications or related Certifications.
