Senior Software Quality Engineer

Primary Job Function:

 Support SQA activities in support of division SW-CMM, SW-CMMI, and AS 9006 goals and support individual programs in successful software development.

 

These activities include:

· Participation in the creation, update, and review of project-level documentation including Software Development Process Plans,  Software Development Plans, and Software Quality Assurance Project Plans

· Consulting with and driving program compliance to standard practices and procedures

· Generating the SQA program support plans which include planning for the evaluation of software products and processes as well as planning the evaluation/audit schedules

· Performing process and product evaluations

· Reporting SQA program results (Status, evaluation results, deficiencies and corrective action, trend analysis and other metrics, etc.);

· Performing SQA infrastructure duties such as training and training development, keeping audit checklists current, updating SQA documentation, supporting independent audits, and ensuring adequate funding for program support

· Supporting the Software Process Improvement Team

· Working closely with other project support organizations such as Configuration Management

Performing SQA program support such as attending program meetings, attending Peer Reviews, supporting Requirements Phase activities, supporting Design Phase activities, supporting Code Phase activities, supporting Test Phase activities, and supporting Transition and maintenance activities

Job Requirements:


Knowledge of the following required:

 

SW-CMM, CMMI, and ISO 9000:2000. AS9100/AS9006 knowledge a plus. 

 

Strong inter-personal, process, computer language, and writing skills are desired. 

 

Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or other technical field. Advanced degree as plus.

 

Experience: 5-10+ years of Software Quality and/or Software Development. Defense-related experience a plus.Job Code : 41 Division/Department : Government & Industrial Robots Travel Required : None
