Senior Software Engineer - Linux Firmware
Overview: Our products are conceived, designed and developed by an extended cross-functional project team. They are in unique handheld form factors and use a wide variety of input and output devices, audio and graphics to interact with the user. Our products are designed with both custom ASIC’s and off-the-shelf chipsets using 8 bit to 32 bit embedded processors. We are looking for a Linux system software engineer to bring new ASIC designs up and running, bring up development boards, develop Board Support Packages (BSP), adopt and port Linux drivers. You’ll work with our creative, mechanical, hardware, ASIC and marketing teams to bring cost effective, educational and fun products to market. We are looking for a Senior Linux software engineer to work on next-gen platform. Key Responsibilities:Work closely with hardware teams to bring up our next-gen hardware platform. Participate in system software architecture design and Implementation; work with QA to ensure high quality software deliverables. Participate in the selection and qualification of third party library and tools needed for product development. Support and maintenance of existing products Qualifications:5 years of experience in embedded software development using RTOS, minimum 2 years experience with embedded Linux. In-depth knowledge of boot-loader, and solid experience with Linux kernel and device driver development. Expert knowledge of C language, Knowledge of flash file system and USB storage device is a big plus Experience with ARM9 assembler is a plus. Excellent cross-disciplinary communication, teamwork and multi-tasking Education:BS/MS Computer Science, computer engineering or related field.
