Senior Software Developer - Java/J2EE Web Application Developer

Be a member of a dynamic team responsible for creating CallSource’s eLearning and Performance Management platform. As a senior software developer, you will participate in the architecture, design, implementation, and testing of n-tier Web Application that will integrate with our existing call tracking product line, and with customer’s business applications utilizing Web Services and other integration technologies.

 

 

REQUIRED SKILLS:

·  Advanced knowledge of web application design principles, practices, systems development and analysis

·  Thorough understanding of the software development life cycle and prior experience using a structured methodologies and development in an agile environment

·  Experience working with all stages of large scale enterprise application implementations

·  Excellent problem solving, organizational, and communication skills required.

·  Proficient in analyzing software requirements and documenting technical specifications for a web-based solution

·  Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

·  Ability to mentor junior engineers and programmers.

·  Minimum 4-year degree (BS in CS, CIS, EE)

·  6+ years of hands-on experience in multi-tier Java/J2EE application development

·  4+ years of experience with Struts and/or web interface development

·  Minimum of 2 years of experience working in Unix/Linux environment.

·  Experience working on major commercial application server platform, preferably JBoss

·  Experience working with SQL, MySQL, Oracle

·  Experience working with Struts, Tiles, EJB 2/3, Web Services, HTML, JavaScript, XML

 

 

PREFERRED SKILLS:

·  Experience working with Spring, Hibernate, AJAX frameworks

·  Performance tuning experience

·  JUnit testing

·  Ability to define how-to processes

·  Experience with Ruby-on-Rails or similar development framework
