Job Description Senior Mechanical Engineer (Undersea Robotics) Our client is truly an industry leader when it comes to new age technologies- Currently they are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. Job Description: The Senior Mechanical Engineering position is responsible for the design of sub-systems, assemblies, and their components to meet customer and internal requirements within budget and schedule constraints. Creates bills of materials and oversees creation of drawing to support new design. The ability to conduct stress analysis, prepare hydraulic diagrams, test criteria, and critical assembly instructions following prescribed engineering processes. Provides support to other departments such as Manufacturing, Quality Assurance, and Customer Service. Supervises designers and other engineers on design tasks. Functions as lead on tasks of moderate complexity. Cooperates with other mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on detailed design work and works with sales and marketing on product research and definition. Performs engineering duties at customer sites or offshore when required. Qualifications: Ten (10) years as a mechanical engineer with work experience in the areas of design and analysis with an emphasis on machine design. BS degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent. Knowledge of system design. Experience in design of hydraulic actuators and components. Experience in design of remote equipment for harsh environments. Proficient in use of Solidworks and AutoCAD software. Experience working on engineering projects that use analytical skills in structures, kinematics, and FEA. A proven track record of supervising designers and/or engineers on a per-project basis. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
