Senior Manufacturing Engineer
The executive recruiting and consulting firm of Saenger Associates has been retained to conduct a search for the position of Senior Manufacturing Engineer (two positions available), for our global, industrial manufacturer client company. This is an exceptional opportunity for a uniquely talented individual with keen leadership abilities, a strong desire to achieve, and a team player. This position is based in the Los Angeles area.

Responsibilities
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer position, reports directly to the Manager, Manufacturing Engineering. Responsibilities for planning, directing and coordinating manufacturing processes for engineered applications, to include:Support operational excellence within Manufacturing Engineering Management, maintain and grow industry-leading performance in Safety, Quality, Delivery and Overall Customer Satisfaction.Develop, evaluate and improve manufacturing methods.Evaluate product specifications and arrange for equipment purchase, materials, or parts; and evaluates products according to specifications and quality standards.Maintain a high personal performance by acting with the disciplines of daily accountability for action.Work with other Teams and Functions to support and improve performance in pursuit of Business Unit objectives and in compliance with all Company policies, standards and quality system requirements.Embrace and drive a Continuous Improvement Process environment within the CNC/Manufacturing Engineering department to ensure efficient production methods.Requirements/Preferences
Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering/Mechanical Engineering, a plus. 10 -15 years milling, turning, and turning equipment with live tooling experience.Knowledge in GibbsCAM; both milling and turning is a plus.Knowledge of conventional and CNC methods; ability to make machining sequences in coherent and detailed test. Knowledge in tool design and fixturing.Knowledge of MRP (Baan/Agile) a plus.Desire and commitment to take on increasingly greater level of responsibility.
