ENSR||AECOM has an opening for a Senior Remediation Engineer in our Manhattan or Nyack, NY offices. The successful candidate will lead engineering and feasibility studies, and design and implementation of civil/environmental engineering projects related to site remediation, soil and water treatment systems and conducting various Phase I and Phase II investigations. Up to 50% travel may be required to support projects. The ideal candidate will successfully demonstrate achievement, proficiency, and progressive responsibility in the following areas: * Managing remedial designs* Leading interdisciplinary design teams.* Preparing engineering design reports, drawings, and specifications* Construction cost estimating* Identifying, preparing and demonstrating compliance with relevant permits* Contractor and construction oversightQualificationsCandidate must have a bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering (master's degree a plus) as well as 5 to 15 years of experience, in environmental consulting and engineering. All applicants must be authorized to work in the United States. NY/NJ PE, AutoCAD experience, and OSHA 40-hour training preferred. Demonstrated knowledge or experience in one or more of the following areas is a plus: manufactured gas plants; New York/New Jersey environmental regulations; remedial design, contractor management and project management. The successful candidate will have a strong technical background; excellent written and verbal communication skills; effective organizational skills; proficiency in MS Office; time management skills; flexibility to work on a multitude of diverse projects; and an eagerness to acquire new skills and meet new challenges.
