Senior Instrument Designer
Join a Top Oil and Gas Firm in Houston
We are currently seeking a Senior Instrument Designer who will be responsible for assisting the project team with the Instrument drafting activities.
Job Responsibilities:
• Create Cause & Effect Diagrams, SAFE Charts and Logic Diagrams.
• Create Instrument Installation Detail Drawings and extract Bulk MTO from them.
• Create Junction Box and Marshaling Panel Drawings
• Create Location Plan Drawings from PDMS model.
• Create Loop Diagrams, either via AutoCAD or by database report.
• Reviewing vendor data
• Ability to build instrument information from P&IDs into Instrument Database and to electronically verify that all tags have been entered.
• Reviewing all designs supplied by the Instrument Lead Technical Professional for simplicity and completeness of information being drafted.
• Working closely with Piping to locate instruments.
• Working closely with Electrical Design to coordinate field instruments and junction box locations.
Job Requirements:
• Working knowledge of PDMS Design, PDMS Draft and AutoCAD software.
• Experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Access) application software.
• Minimum 7-10 years experience in Offshore Platforms and FPSOs.
• Experience with Installation and Commissioning is a plus.
