Senior Installation Specialist

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsible for the execution of all Installation Engineering required to execute the Project effective and efficient. Maintain an interface role between the Project PMT and the Installation Engineering department.

WORK PERFORMED:

Work as (lead) specialist in all sizes of projects ensuring all required Installation Engineering work is completed within the allocated schedule and time budget. Ensure that all work is executed in accordance with project design basis, quality plan and HSE plan.
Review Contract Scope of Work to determine Installation Engineering work scope to be performed. Delegate work to and monitor and guide Installation Specialists and Graduate Installation Specialist in completion of the Work. Review and (discipline) approve all Installation Engineering documentation produced.
Prepare Material Take-offs and support the Procurement activities of the PMT by preparation of Scope of Work, collation of Technical Specifications and Drawings and provide as input into the Procurement process. Assist with technical assessment of submitted tenders.
Interface with the Analytical Engineering discipline for execution of required structural engineering and dynamic analyses required as input into the Installation Engineering. Interface with other Technip disciplines as required for the installation Engineering (e.g. OED). Maintain an interface with the Offshore Operations Team and the Fabrication Interface in order to optimize the preparations.
Maintain interface with PMT to provide technical support where required, e.g. Client / Subcontractor Meetings.

Education: Degree in an engineering discipline.

Professional Registration:
Texas PE License preferred.

Skills:

Senior specialist knowledge in subsea (deep water) Installation Engineering methodology and equipment.
Senior specialist knowledge of the discipline group’s analysis software and design methodologies.
Able to direct and supervise the work of discipline engineers.
Senior specialist knowledge of the current edition of applicable codes.
Able to communicate (verbal and written) effectively in the English language.
Able to work independently and be decisive in engineering matters.
Act as mentor to Installation Engineering staff.
Team player.
