Your Ingenuity is welcome!Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervision.  Provides engineering / technical leadership for the project.  Interacts with other departments to facilitate project completion.  Analyzes engineering results and redirects resources and activities as required.   Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. 1.  Plans and implements engineering program, including defining the project philosophy, activities, milestones, and staff requirements, per customer requirements. 2.  Develops and maintains a schedule and budget for the assigned engineering project. 3.  Provides reports on the status of project milestones and adjusts schedules accordingly. 4.  Controls expenditures within limitations of project budget. 5.  Coordinates preparation and delivery of project deliverables, design documents, and bid packages. 6.  Assigns and oversees project personnel to specific phases or aspects of project such as technical studies, product design, preparation of specifications and technical plans, and product testing. 7.Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications. 8.Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments, scheduling, and resolving engineering design and test problems. 9.Directs integration of technical activities and products. 10.  Evaluates and approves design changes, specifications, and drawing releases. 11.  Prepares interim and completion project reports. 12.  Interfaces with customers to provide project status reports and ensure customer needs are met. 13.  Provides status and progress reports to customer, project team, and management.   Candidates should possess the following qualifications: 1. B.S.M.E., B.S. in Applied Sciences, or Technical Associate Degree plus 15 years of related experience required. 2. Minimum 5 years engineering experience required.  Experience in the HVAC industry with demonstrated unitary product design skills is desired. 3. Candidate must be a self-starter with demonstrated skills to meet/exceed the objectives of time-bounded projects. 4. Project management skills in a cross-functional team environment desired.
