Senior Electrical Engineer Designer
Top ranked engineering consulting firm is seeking a California Licensed Electrical Engineer or Senior Designer who is looking for an opportunity work in a rapidly growing, community-oriented, professional design and engineering company at their Santa Rosa, CA office.
Requirements for this position include:
· Minimum of five years experience in a professional consulting engineering environment.
· BSEE degree and PE registration is highly desirable. Knowledge of National Electrical Code, NFPA, UBC< IEEE, EIA/TIA and other relevant codes and standards.
· Strong written and oral communication skills are necessary.
· The ideal candidate will have experience developing and maintaining client relationships, preparing written studies, reports and presentations; and assisting in developing Proposals for Services.
· The candidate must be capable of performing electrical engineering and production of complex projects with minimal supervision. Direct interface with clients, consultants and contractors will be a key part of this role.
· Leadership skills that demonstrate the ability to run a 3-5 person design group are critical.
· Basic understanding of low and medium voltage power distribution systems; interior and exterior lighting systems design; fire alarm systems; motor controls and schematics; telecommunications and data network infrastructure design; intercom, sound, clock, and miscellaneous signal system design.
· Skilled in the preparation of electrical construction documents including drawings, specifications, calculations, spreadsheets, construction cost estimates, bid addenda, change orders and punch lists.
