Senior Coastal Engineer

We are currently seeking a civil/coastal Engineer with 6+ years experience for our Boynton Beach FL office. Responsibilities include: analysis, design and engineering on civil and coastal engineering projects; supervise the work of assistant and associate level civil engineers; serve as lead engineer on all but the most complex projects; prepare or direct civil engineering studies and reports, calculations, specifications and inquiry, bid and purchasing activities; provide technical guidance and direct other engineers assigned as staff on projects; establish design criteria, scopes of work, budget, schedules and other requirements for assigned projects; provide on-site inspections and coordination for projects; and, implement quality assurance and health and safety programs. Excellent communication skills; ability to work independently and as an integral part of a project team; proficient in office computer applications (AutoCAD, MS Project, Matlab, MathCAD, Civil 3D, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). The successful candidate will work with a skilled team of professionals and have a key role in the all aspects of coastal, port and waterfront projects. The position requires a minimum BS in civil /coastal or ocean engineering. FL PE Preferred; other certifications a plus. Travel and Florida driving license required; Tetra Tech will support efforts to obtain additional PEs and other relevant certifications as needed.
