Senior Civil Engineer

We currently have an opportunity for Civil Structural Engineers with design and construction experience to join our team located in Richland, Washington. Engineers at Tetra Tech EC gain exposure to diverse and exciting opportunities including international projects. We are looking for enthusiastic candidates to participate in planning, preparation, analysis, design, field execution, construction oversight, and management for projects involving multiple engineering disciplines. Candidates should be self-motivating and enjoy working in a dynamic environment providing engineering design and inspection expertise for a broad array of design/construction projects. Responsibilities: Applicants are responsible for applying sound engineering principles and practices. A successful candidate will work closely with all levels and disciplines of the organization, clients, vendors, and subcontractors. Additional job responsibilities include: Ensure technical accuracy, standard engineering practices, and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects. Be able to evaluate alternatives and resolve technical issues. Perform field engineering including interpretation of specifications and drawings, recommending and documenting design modifications, and coordinating with the design engineers. Make independent decisions to solve engineering problems, resolve questions, plan, coordinate, and execute work in a safe, timely, cost effective and compliant manner. Follow company procedures regarding construction, engineering design and design modifications. Follow company and client's policies regarding health and safety guidelines to ensure personal safety. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications: 5-15 years of related experience. Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering is required. A Masters Degree is a plus.  Registration as a Professional Engineer is required Proficient written and verbal communications skills.
