- Acquisition Management - 

You will provide full-time, dedicated support to the Deputy for Acquisition Management (DA) and Director for Acquisition Policy, Planning & Assessment (DAP), Missile Defense Agency (MDA), in Washington, DC and Huntsville, AL. 

Position provides Acquisition Management support for several major areas to include:Developing, evaluating, and assessing acquisition and logistics policy and processes for Agency programsDeveloping acquisition and logistics directives, guidance, and objectivesEstablishing effective measures and procedures to manage current and emerging BMDS acquisitions through the acquisition strategy panel (ASP) processIdentifying successful acquisition strategies, conducting management reviews and comprehensive studiesAssessing BMDS acquisition and logistics policy implementation

You will also interpret Agency planning documents to coordinate integrated acquisition strategies across the Agency; provide acquisition planning support to multiple MDA programs; review and analyze comprehensive acquisition documentation; plan and prepare executive level acquisition strategy panel reviews for all MDA programs; prepare Agency acquisition documentation and executive-level decision papers; and prepare and staff Agency actions for functional and technical review and comment.

Qualified Candidates Will Possess:Senior level staff officer coordination experience DoD Level - 3 Acquisition certification highly desirable Current Secret Security Clearance Required Mastery of system acquisition concepts, theories, principles, and standards Extensive experience with BMDS or weapon system acquisition programs Expert knowledge of missile system design, testing, and deployment Knowledge of the entire acquisition life cycle process and governing laws, regulations, and precedents Experience in Defense-level ACAT programs, program management, acquisition concepts and assessments; working knowledge of the Selected Acquisition Report (SAR) Knowledge and experience in acquisition of weapons systems or equipment and knowledge and experience working in an integrated product and process development environment Outstanding written / verbal communication skills
