Qualifications:

POSITION SUMMARY: • Stimulates and invigorates exploratory research and development for the R&D Center.• Focal point for strengthening the scientific university interactions.• Key scientific advisor and partner to the R&D Center Director and to the R&D Directors of the Divisions / Business Units. • Closely follows and advises the 10-15 top projects for NRWDC.• Conducts and personally manages research in 1-2 technical areas – especially those new to NWRDC.• Committed collaborator who energizes NWRDC technical exchanges with various network of R&D Centers. Forms teams with individuals at other Saint-Gobain centers.• Participates in the Business R&D Reviews.Additional Responsibilities:• Actively promotes the creation and refreshing of a grassroots proactive culture of safety by personal example and by encouraging, empowering, and involving all staff in safety.COMPETENCIES: • Ph.D (Materials Science, Applied Physics, Polymer Science, Chemistry or related discipline). • 10+ years research & development experience.• Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills• Strong scientific depth (preferably strong international scientific reputation) to lead innovation and development of new technologies.• Enjoys the innovation process; complexity and ambiguity/uncertainty in technology.• Enjoys Mentoring other technical individuals and teams.• High Energy, passionate individual who creates a fun loving work environment.TO APPLY: For immediate consideration, please apply below.
