Sales Manager, Advanced Coatings

Because of our recent growth, we currently have an opening for a Sales Manager, Advanced Coatings at our Kennametal International Specialty Alloys (ISA) facility in New Castle, PA where we perform high quality metal processing, high purity refining, vacuum induction melting and aluminothermic processing, as well as sizing and milling operations.

This position will develop new customer and industry relationships and report customer activity, drive sales growth and business profitability while achieving assigned sales goals, perform sales forecasting and account planning, manage the customer acquisition process, identify and close short-term sales opportunities, and report competitive situations to the Business Segment Manager, ISA, Director North America Sales & Marketing, and other senior management.

This position is global in nature and will require international travel. This position will report directly to the Business Segment Manager, ISA with dotted line reported to General Manager, Director North America Sales and Marketing, and other senior management. Areas of responsibility will be reviewed several times per month via written communication or conference calls. Goals will be set monthly for sales growth, customer acquisition plans, expense reports, and quarterly updates.
Experience and Skills:


A minimum of a bachelor degree in business or engineering or equivalent experience with a minimum of 8+ years industry-related sales experience. A post-graduate degree is preferred along with an understanding of both direct and indirect sales channels. Experience in high-purity and high-quality specialty metal or ceramic powders and associated processes or related sales experience is preferred.
