SSDS Systems Engineer

Bachelors degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Sciences and at least 10 years of related experience. Additional related experience may be substituted for education. Should possess systems engineering and program management experience for DoD program. SSDS engineering and program management experience highly desired plus knowledge of Navy and NSWCDD processes and procedures. Position requires ability to obtain and maintain a clearance. Job Description : EG&G is seeking a Systems Engineer to provide technical and program management support to the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) W05 Department for the Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Program for the baseline management of SSDS in-service baselines and developmental baselines. Develop management plans, schedules, budgets, spend plans, Systems engineering support and status briefings related to the In-service and developmental SSDS baselines. Ability to work as a team with customer in support of on time delivery and certification of SSDS Combat Systems working with Certification leads, Test and Evaluation IPT leads, and baseline managers. Performs research and analysis, and prepares white papers and presentation packages to support briefings to Program Managers (PMs) and sponsors on the progress and issues of the baselines. Reviews and comments on programmatic documentation provided as Government Furnished Information (GFI). Attends, supports, and participates in technical reviews and meetings in support of the SSDS program, including combined Review Boards (CRB), Test Readiness Reviews, Combat System Certification Panels, Test and Evaluation (T&E) Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Certification Core Teams and various Working Groups (WGs). Prepares reports, reviews, and updates Task Planning Sheets (TPSs), aides in budget planning and execution. : : EOE M/F/D/V
