Recruiter - Staffing - Account Management - Engineering
Emergent Systems is looking to add to our Recruiting, Staffing, and Business Development staff at our Design Center in Parklane Towers, Dearborn, Michigan. We are seeking degreed individuals with a Business, Marketing, or Technical Degree for this high visibility position. This is an Entry Level position and we will invest a great deal of our time and resources to provide training and support for your success. Part time employment can be considered.
Emergent Systems is one of the largest and fastest growing Design and Engineering firms in Michigan with 100+ employees. We support projects for Automotive, Aerospace, Medical, Consumer Products, and other industries. We are responsible for some of the most ambitious Design and Engineering projects for Automotive and Aerospace in North America including renewable energy platforms that can revolutionize power generation in the United States.
Job responsibilities include:
- Interviewing & Testing Candidates for Placement at Customer Sites
- Marketing, Business Development, Regional Travel
- Client Visits & Maintenance of Current Customer Accounts
- Maintaining Internal Databases, Phone Calls, and Emails
- Creation of Marketing Material, Advertising, and Direct Mailers
- Other Duties as Assigned
This is a career position where the earning potential is significant. You are expected to have MS Office skills, excellent typing, good phone rapport, and strong communication skills. This is a salary + commission position with Medical and Dental Benefits, Direct Deposit, 401k, Vacation, Holidays, and opportunity for growth. A Bachelor's Degree is REQUIRED - no exceptions (finishing degree in 2008 is ok).
There will be extensive training provided and you should not be apprehensive about your lack of an Engineering background. A desire to work hard, learn, and be responsible for your own success are keys to doing well. You must be confident, reasonably aggressive, determined, resilient, creative, and not easily disappointed.
Expectations of the successful candidate would be:
- Flexibility to work overtime or occasional weekend hours during training. In exchange, you will not have to worry about punching a clock, traffic, or being late (when you don’t have appointments and within reason!).
- Willingness to work from home on some weekends and evenings to meet last minute customer demands and deliverables.
- Attention to detail and documentation of all transactions with customers and prospects.
- A willingness to personally invest your own time in learning more about Engineering and Design fundamentals so you will have more success.
- You’re expected to work about 45 to 50 hours week during your training period. But you will also be able to enjoy the fruits of your labor and eventually work your own schedule within reason.
- Work hours are somewhat flexible but core hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm are expected.
Please respond with an updated resume plus and few paragraphs on why you believe you will be successful and how your work ethic will separate you from your competition. Also include recognition you’ve received from other jobs that made you stand out from the crowd. Recent grads or those about to graduate within 4 months welcome. We would consider co-op.
We will consider those with some industry experience that have salary expectations in the $40k to $50k range.
