Radiology Equipment Service Engineer II The radiology equipment service engineer (RESE) II performs, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on imaging related medical devices used throughout UPMC, hospital affiliates, and institutions contracting for services with BioTronics Inc. The RESE II works under minimal supervision and may periodically assist in orientation, training, assigning, and checking the work of RESE I. This position requires one of the following: an associate's degree in either biomedical/electrical engineering technology and/or certification of a technical school program; or at least two years of related hospital imaging service experience or manufacturers¿ service experience; and/or demonstrates equivalent proficiencies. Additional requirements include: The incumbent must also possess the following: advanced knowledge of electronics, digital circuitry operations, and microprocessors; advanced knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, physics, chemistry, optics, pneumatics, hydraulics, hospital structure, and regulatory requirements (as applicable); and advanced computer skills.
