FULL-TIME POSITION OF RF Engineer IS AVAILABLE.
Job Summary:
Designs and develops radio frequency and electronic circuitry for unattended ground sensors, wireless networks, and sensing systems.
Education and Training:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of seven (7) years experience or a Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of five (5) years experience is required.
Skills and Experience:
5+ years RF design and technical experience from component to system level.
Experience designing RF components such as mixers, modulators, couplers, splitters and filters.
Experience with state-of-the-art wireless networking protocols.
Experience designing RF components utilizing simulation tools.
Previous experience implementing manual and automated test methods, which improved productivity.
Proficient in testing all parameters of various RF components.
Knowledgeable of wireless system requirements and standards.
Proficient with complex RF board layouts for industrial, military, and commercial applications.
Extensive knowledge of cellular, satellite, RF, military and/or commercial communications.
Familiar with covert & anti-jamming communications, data links, frequency compatibility, networks and protocols.
Familiarity with embedded programming with wireless systems.
Demonstrated ability to with technical and proposal writing.
Must be detail oriented, with excellent written & verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
A strong technical background in the field of electronics and high frequency (microwave and radio frequency) system design and development is required, as well as the ability to write & research proposals.
Ability to provide architectural design, systems specifications, software & hardware development, technical research, modeling & simulation and testing & performance analysis for fixed and mobile land, air, and satellite communications systems.
Must be research-oriented and able to multi-task and meet deadlines.
Able to coordinate product development, testing and manufacturing efforts.
Abilities/Traits:
Knowledge of sensor technology and digital systems.
Ability to work with the marketing team to conduct feasibility testing and develop acquisition and life-cycle cost estimates.
Software development experience with at least one full life-cycle deployment.
Software defined radio development.
Proven ability to lead small teams of multi-functional engineers.
Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
Work in a group setting or independently, and be very dependable.
Meet schedules and time lines.
Understand and follow oral and written directions.
Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
Work courteously and tactfully with customers and employees.
Operate office equipment such as copier, fax and printer.
