RESERVOIR ENGINEER - DIRECT HIRE - Petrochemical / Refining / Oil and Gas

Drive large development drilling programs, reservoir surveillance, enhanced oil recovery, numerical simulation.  Located in the Elk Hills / Tupman area near Bakersfield, CA, 93309 (Central California valley)The Job: A major Bakersfield Area refinery is seeking various levels of creative and knowledgeable Reservoir Engineers. Requires with a passion for technical excellence and a drive for adding value Will be part of an integrated team of highly qualified geoscientists, engineers, and technicians striving to maximize economic recovery of hydrocarbons from some of the largest, most challenging reservoirs in the U.S The project inventory, the utilization of new technology, and the collegiate spirit at this refinery are unique in the petroleum industry, providing the right candidates with a professionally fulfilling experience. Using state of the art tools, will characterize reservoir properties, assess development options, and orchestrate implementation of reservoir management plans, all with the collaborative support and expertise required to deliver outstanding results. Seeking motivated individuals with the following qualifications to fill three positions supporting our Reservoir Management Teams (RMT), plus one (1) reservoir modeler to support the Reservoir Modeling RMT.  If you possess these traits and are interested in joining a fast-paced, action-oriented team, please apply.Qualifications: BS Degree in Engineering Minimum of 5 years experience in the upstream oil and gas industry Proven success identifying and executing value-added projects Knowledge of reservoir engineering concepts and applications Knowledge of economic evaluation and business financial metrics Excellent communication skills Demonstrated creative and collaborative approach to problem solving Enjoy a multi-discipline team environment Demonstrated expertise in reservoir flow simulation using Eclipse, VIP, or others Working knowledge of 3D geologic models (Petrel, etc.) as input to simulation Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.  TN Visas are acceptable.
