QA Engineer with Flash
The ATS (Acceptance Test Suite) Quality Engineer helps drive the delivery of successful, cutting edge products by working on a team with other highly talented Quality Engineers. Responsibilities include the direct hands on execution and testing of the Acceptance Test Suite, a key testing product comprised of thousands of Flash movies used both internally by our development teams and externally by our customers to verify their ports of the FlashLite Player to their Mobile products. You will be expected to generate and analyze the effectiveness of the test media you test. You may also be contributing to fixing bugs in addition to reporting bugs. You must be driven by an inquisitive nature and be able to think critically about the code you are testing. You must have professional experience and a passion for coding all day. You must also be able to think "outside of the box" in your on-going passionate hunt for "bugs" and optimized test media. * Execute our mobile test suite using the same tools as our customer. * Test the actual test suite as well as the product-under-test. * Run automation in assigned areas * Test ATS media and fix bugs as well as assist in the packaging of the test suite for delivery to customers. * Write easy to understand test case steps and expected result descriptions. * Create test media Adobe Flash 8 using ActionScript. * Respond directly to customer feedback and ATS bug reports. * Work closely with Developers and Quality Engineering on understanding the concepts of the test media you are assigned. * Work closely with the Test Automation team on the requirements of ATS media that conforms to automated media specifications. * Critically think about how consumers will interact with the software being tested and turn those ideas into concise test media. * Continually research new mobile technologies and incorporate that new knowledge into your ongoing QA process. Flash and ActionScript. Understanding of XML and HTML. Experience in creating and testing mobile applications. Flash 4 ActionScript. Fluency in other languages (e.g. Japanese, Korean, Chinese, German)Familiarity with cHTML, WAP, WML, and XHTML (understand the differences). Shrink-wrapped software testing experience. Silk and/or TestQuest automated testing experience.
