Purchasing Administrator

Work closely with other corporate office departments and purchasing/accounting administrators throughout the company to support purchasing for acquiring materials, supplies, services and equipment, consistent with accepted standards of quality and service in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and company purchasing procedures. Perform other related work as requested or required. ARA offers an excellent benefits package including health insurance, paid personal leave and holidays. Compensation is commensurate with experience. Employment is contingent upon a background investigation and credit check. ARA is an EEO/AA employer.   Position Requirements: Minimum of five demonstrated years of purchasing experience in a government contractor setting. Strong oral and written communication skills. Effectively communicate with multiple locations, all levels of management and the supply base. Have a positive attitude, strong work ethic, character, and integrity. Must be organized, detail oriented and proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Work independently in a demanding and diverse environment while supporting various internal customers. Position Preferences: Degree in related field is desirable. Two years experience in administering a company purchasing card program. Knowledge of overall government purchasing, procurement and accounting principles, policies, procedures and practices. Government property administration experience is also desirable.
