Project Specialist
FOR MUSTARDThis position may have incumbents performing duties at levels E4, E5, or E6. Duties at each level vary in complexity, technicality, level of responsibility, supervision, and skill/knowledge requirements. As a minimum, the incumbent performing duties at any level must demonstrate ability to work with people of varied backgrounds and myriad objectives, and the ability to reach consensus on complex issues in a timely and effective manner. In addition, incumbents performing duties at each level must possess the following respective qualifications:Level E4 :Bachelor's Degree in eng. or science field and 4 years related work experience OR a Master's Degree and 2 years related work experience OR a Ph.D. OR 12 years equivalent specialized training and work experience.Level E5 : Bachelor's Degree in eng. or science field and 6 years related work experience OR a Master's Degree and 4 years related work experience OR a Ph.D. and 2 years related work experience OR 14 years equivalent specialized training and work experience.Level E6: Bachelor's Degree in engineering or science field and 8 years related work experience OR a Master's Degree and 6 years related work experience OR a Ph.D. and 4 years related work experience OR 16 years equivalent related work experience and specialized training. At this level, incumbent must have at least one assignment management a project valued in excess of 1M.Must be able to acknowledge and respond to flashing lights and sirens and be able to don a protective mask and evacuate up to 2 miles in an expeditious manner. Job Description : Providing technical expertise relevant to plant problems, associated design modifications, and system implementation. Working with managers, engineers and technicians, duties require: Coordinating special or unique projects of moderate complexity with a team of managers, engineers, technicians and operators, to identify and develop plans and resolve problems; applying comprehensive review, planning, and detailed resolutions to problems; expediting resolution and coordination of munitions and/or agent changeovers; ensuring that proper permits, regulations, and procedures are in place.; ensuring that all schedules are effectively communicated and strategic solutions are developed to meet required milestones; completing project status reports for external agencies. and ensuring that analysis, plans, and documentation are complete. Providing information to Environmental, Safety, Engineering, Operations and other key functional areas to include Chemical Exclusion Areas (UPA), to ensure test plans, executions, and pre-operational executions are completed in accordance with legal and operational procedures. Scheduling special projects and tasks with Engineering, Operations, and Environmental to ensure such activities are summarized on the Network Analysis System. Overseeing the activities of contractors. Conducts final walk through and turnover processes. Supports safety culture.: :
