Project Manager, MLPCN, Chemical Biology
PROJECT MANAGER, MLPCN, CHEMICAL BIOLOGY, Broad Institute, to manage a portfolio of projects within Broad's Comprehensive Screening Center as part of the NIH's Molecular Libraries Probe Production Centers Network (MLPCN). This includes activities centralized around the development of biological assays, high-throughput screening, follow-up chemistry, delivery of data to public databases, and related research innovation projects. Will work with individual project chaperones to understand and document project goals and strategies, monitor and report on project progress towards milestones, and resolve blocking issues as needed; assist senior project manager with preparation of quarterly reports to funding agencies and on ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget; and develop new systems to facilitate project management.
REQUIREMENTS: a bachelor's degree in biology or related field; five years of relevant professional experience; and demonstrated ability to develop, implement, and monitor projects. Formal training in project management desired, as is experience in a chemical biology and biological screening environment. Experience managing funder/sponsor relations also desired. Must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact with an interdisciplinary group including research scientists, data analysts, and computer scientists.
