Project Engineer - Water-Transportation-Drainage (EIT or PE)

Project Engineer – EIT or PE required – Biloxi, MS

Responsibilities shall include but not limited to: preparing engineering designs and specifications using sound engineering practices with limited supervision; representing Thompson Engineering as an engineering advisor/consultant; researching/designing to achieve practical solutions to particular problems; performing field data collection using various methods, devices, and measurements; working with engineers/contractors/subcontractors as requested by the project managers, engineers, etc.; and drafting /writing reports/documents for internal/external clients.  Bachelor's degree in civil engineering required.  Two years experience as an accomplished Civil Engineer.  Experience with design of water/wastewater pumping and transportation systems required. Experience with water/wastewater treatment systems, roadways and/or civil site design are highly desirable. Proficient with design software such as HEC/RAS models, AutoCAD R14, Land Development Desktop and/or Civil 3D is strongly desired.  Incumbent must have excellent communication skills and must have the ability to interface with clients, vendors and all levels of staff.
