We currently have an opening for a Project Engineer in our Salt Lake City, Utah office.

Position Summary:
Responsible for Engineering Projects as assigned by Group Leader.

Essential Job Functions:
-Become familiar with details of the purchase order or contract.
-Prepare Job Review checklist sections related to technical requirements.
-Lead contact with the Customer in meeting technical contract requirements.
-Prepare submittal documentation including process and structural calculations for Customer approval.
-Update Group Leader and Group Assistant at weekly meeting on the status and progress of each job for inclusion in the group schedule.
-Inspect, or provide for inspection of buyouts and main equipment.
-Provide assistance to Customer through installation and start-up period.
-Check or approve detail drawings.
-Handle field service problem resolutions.
-Ability to perform start-up and operator trainng on group products, including basic process training.
-Coordinate with Group Leader and other personnel to develop engineering standards and other production cost-saving tools.


Non-Essential Job Functions:
-Other duties as assigned or requested.

Minimum Qualifications:
-Education:  Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering. (Structural emphasis preferred).
-Possess a positive attitude.
-Possess excellent computer skills:  MS Word, Excel and other Windows applications.
-In addition to engineering proficiency, individual should be dedicated to see a project through to completion.
-Must be well organized, detail oriented, and have strong communication skills.
-Strong math skills; specifically trigonometry and geometry.

Preferred Qualifications:
-Experience with Staad, AutoCAD, Inventor or Pro-E
-Passed FE exam.
-Professional Engineering license is a plus.

Physical Requirements:
-Must be able to work at a desk, computer/phone system.
-Some heavy lifting may be involved, (50-70 lbs), specifically when in the warehouse area(s).
-When at job sights will be required to inspect equipment.  This may involve:
-bending/stooping/walking on ladders, walkways, catwalks, (may involve heights).
-exposure to elements; cold, heat, wet and/or dark.  May be in a safety harness.
-when in fabrication shop, may involve utilizing hands in and around mechanical parts.

Additional Job Requirements:
-Periodic domestic and international travel is required.
