Project Engineer I
Job Summary:
As a Project Engineer, you will work independently under limited supervision, receiving occasional guidance on complex or unusual problems. It is your responsibility to coordinate the activities of the project engineering team related to the design, fabrication and testing of subsea systems including: resolving design problems, modifying designs and scheduling tests for efficient and timely delivery of the systems. You will also determine the requirements for equipment design reviews for specific projects. Project Engineer are responsible for preparing written reports on project status for review by management and makes presentations to customer and company representatives. You will be responsible for and assist in the documentation and coordination of equipment interfaces with suppliers. When needed you will provide guidance and work direction to junior staff.
Essential Functions:Review engineering project designs for conformance with company standards and customer specificationsEvaluate design changes providing calculations and actively participate in design review panels and keep project manager updated of all technical activities throughout the projectMonitors engineering progress and oversee land-testing procedures; also involved in factory acceptance testing activities
Job Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Engineering5 to 8 years experience in engineering and Oil & Gas Sector would be beneficialKnowledge of project management methods and scheduling techniquesStrong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to demonstrate initiative and assertiveness, the ability to plan and organize work in an efficient manner, and the ability to work well under stress and time pressuresKnowledge of hydraulic systems and components with 3+ years of fluid power systems design
Salary Range: $60,000 - $80,000 (Based on Experience) per Year
