Project Engineer - Engine & Transmission Assembly

Mechanical Design Engineer:  This is a Mechanical Project Engineer position where the person will need to coordinate other designers and also be able to design himself.  The PM Engineer will give a list of things to be accomplished and the Project Engineer will coordinate the delegation and completion of these, including some design tasks himself.  AutoCAD 2D is required (version not important).  Some 3D is helpful (UG or Catia).  Needs to be the first level of approval and can perform lay-out.  This person should know full-scale projects and can also handle cradle-to-grave.  This has no travel (maybe 5%) and is an in-house position.  Ford transmission experience a definite preference.  Other points to note:minimum 5 years experience in transmission assembly engineering (conveyor systems, nutrunners, feeders, automation, carriers, fixtures, etc.)Solid customer skills - experience representing your company in front of the customerCan consider work experience in pressroom automation, linear motions, end of arm tooling, robot tools, station design concept experienceMust be able to perform simple horsepower calculations, motor sizing, speed calcs, etc.Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivilant is strongly preferred
