Program Specialist
The candidate must have the following:* Experience in scientific research settings is required with biomedical laboratory experience strongly recommended.* Must have experience working in an office setting and possess strong interpersonal skills.* Working proficiency in MS Office is mandatory. Database management and statistical programming is highly recommended.* Shall be proficient in English with strong oral and written language skills and under-standing of scientific and medical terminology. * Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.* Experience using PubMed (U.S. National Library of Medicine and the National Institutes of Health online database).* Limited local travel will be required with possible out of town trips. * Must perform assigned tasks under time and location constraints. * Must be able to multi-task and prioritize assignments in accordance to program goals. Job Description : EG&G has been a leading provider of technical serevices to the U.S. Government for over 50 years. We are currently seeking Program Specialists to perform the following:* Generate reports, presentations and other high-level communications to leadership, other government agencies and field centers. * Conduct data-mining, database searches and perform data analysis.* Assist program staff with administrative responsibilities, including but not limited to generating meeting minutes, meeting summaries and executive reports.* Conduct biomedical literature searches.* Manage national program meetings, workshops, and workgroups and maintain appropriate records. * Provide support on existing database and web-based operations for maintaining current and accurate program information. * Analyze organizational and operational activities to maximize efficiency and develop novel approaches to address needs. : :
