Electrical Engineer

Position Description:

Install 3+ pivots with an installation crew.  Manage Engineering program to achieve set goals for new product development and design cost optimizations.  Develop, use, and continually improve 5 visual KPIs to effectively measure and manager the Engineering program.

 

Key Responsibilities:

-Serve as leader and expert resource in the program and project management of controls hardware and software development.

-Engage with all project stakeholders to ensure requirements are met or exceeded.

-Establish measures within the organization to monitor the satisfaction of internal and external customers.

-Effectively and proactively communicate all significant issues.

-Effectively manager program priorities and resources through the use of key performance indicators (KPI).

-Great attention to detail, accurate, with systematic, analytical approach to identifying root causes and resolving issues.

-Performs all management and supervisory duties in the project and program management, planning, executing,monitoring, controlling, correcting and reporting of mechanical and structural irrigation equipment developments.

Manage a cross-function of projects NPI, Product Maintenance, Design and Cost optimization.

-Effectively utilize budgets, material and human resources.

-Research, design, evaluate, install, operate and maintained products, equipment systems an processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles.

-Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation root causes and to make recommendations to product improvements.

-Estimate costs and submit bids for engineering projects and prepare contract documents.

-Write performance requirements for product development or engineering projects.

-Define, build and implement test control apparatus and equipment and develop procedures for testing products.

 

 

Skills and Qualifications:

-Technical degree (BS or MS) in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience in electrical and/or controls development.

-Hands-on project management experience controls hardware, software and web based applications development.

-PMP certification or equivalent.

-Program Management experience.

-Strong written and oral communication skills.

-Strong computer skills including AutoCAD, MS-Project, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MRP systems, ECN Tools.

-SolidWorks experience is a plus.
