Program Manager-AWARE 2.0
Lead and manage a multi-faceted team, with a government and industry product focus, to advance full life-cycle robotic software development, production and sustained support program using an iRobot developed AWARE 2.0 software framework. This framework is for both iRobot system level products and as the leading robotic software framework used by multiple defenses, commercial and industrial customers employing robotic applications and systems.
* Function in a leadership role, planning and overseeing software business design and development activities using at least CMM Level III processes. Oversight includes work activities for 20 plus specialized software engineers and support personnel to cover research, software engineering, configuration management, logistics support, manufacturing insertion, business finance, contracts, business development, marketing and sales, licensing management, and legal responsibilities. Ensure adherence to program scope, life cycle management, risk management, change control, quality, personnel, cost, and schedule management.
* Coordinate cost, schedule, and performance in collaboration with other iRobot current and planned system level programs.
* Champion positive integration and alliances via teaming agreements with other large companies to increase current product maturity, new markets, and speed and growth initiatives
* Create business plans, team to meet goals, to ensure all deliverables are met, the programs stay on schedule, implement budget and provide updated forecasts
* Meet with users and potential customers to ensure their requirements are understood and met
* Analyze overall program status and quality assurance of development, production, and sustainment deliverables to ensure appropriate resources are applied to achieve program objectives consistent with corporate strategic goals
Job Requirements:
Must-have Skills/Experience:
Minimum 10 years managing life-cycle software programs, with a complete understanding of requirements for driving a software program to product in both the commercial and government market sector, as well as use of a CMM systems engineering approach to product. Knowledgeable in CMMI and EVMS processes.
Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills. Computer Science degree preferred.
