Headquartered in San Ramon, California, and conducting business in approximately 180 countries, the company is engaged in every aspect of the oil and natural gas industry, including exploration and production; refining, marketing and transportation; chemicals manufacturing and sales; and power generation.Overview:As a Production Engineer, you’ll work on a multi-disciplinary team to provide the daily management of oil and gas production operations and help to maximize profitability by increasing revenue and lowering operating expenses.Qualifications:Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Develop and implement production optimization strategies.• Provide workover design and execution.• Provide asset management planning.• Provide production equipment design.• Provide cost estimating and budgeting.• Interface with working interest partners, service companies and regulatory agencies • Develop, evaluate and deploy new technology.• Provide consultation and/or recommend procedures to Chevron operating companies. • Provide on-site support for production optimization opportunities. • Build technical capabilities by representing Chevron at industry technical meetings, joint industry project meetings, and reviewing of current technical literature.• Interact with Chevron operating companies to assist in aligning the technology portfolio with business issues.Required Qualifications:• A Bachelor’s Degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering. • A minimum of 3 years of experience in production engineering. • Strong to expert knowledge in Artificial Lift design and optimization.• Field review and system optimization (networked solution).• Working knowledge of well modeling software applications such as IPM, WEM and Pipephase. • Working knowledge of completion practices, systems and equipment, production logging and water/gas shutoff techniques. • Experience with production engineering applications in oil and gas operations including economic evaluation of producing and exploitation assets, optimization of production, and problem well diagnostics.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:Houston, TX 77002 Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
