Process Sustaining Engineer-Direct Hire

Job Title: Process Sustaining Engineer

Self-motivated, hands-on process engineer to sustain equipment and processes in the Solid State Lighting Department. This position will be on 1st Shift working up to 60 hrs a week, including One Weekend Day (Tues-Sat OR Sun-Thurs). 

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop, sustain, and improve processes for Solid State Lighting Devices Fabrication/Packaging
• Interface with equipment engineering, management and manufacturing to improve cycle time, tool   availability, process/product yield, and cost reduction
• Work directly with Manufacturing Operations and Development Engineering to ramp new products and processes into production, as well as manage project/product priorities


Job Requirements: • B.S. or M.S in Materials Science, Engineering, or Science
• Candidate must be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident

Preferred Qualifications:

• In-depth technical understanding of semiconductor processes and equipment
• Strong working knowledge of SPC/DOE principles
• Excellent project management skills with demonstrated ability to identity manufacturing improvements,  manage change, and implement solutions.
• Focus on innovation and continuous improvement in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong Attention to detail
• Must be available to travel internationally at least 2 weeks/quarter
• Knowledge of Programming/software development a plus

Manager Summary:
The Sustaining Engineering Manager is looking for “an engineer with potential”. They must fit the following criteria:
1. Willing to work 50-60hours per week
2. Willing to travel to China for 2 weeks every quarter
3. Willing to work one weekend day shift (Tues-Sat OR Sun-Thurs)
4. Have good data analysis skills; Experience with SPC/DOE is a huge plus. Also, experience with JMP softward a huge plus.
5. Must have an aggressive, “high-energy”, confident personality.

Will consider new graduate with at least a 3.0 GPA and some internship work. If they do have experience, it can come from any industry, so long as its focused on Process work related to a high-volume manufacturing process.
