Process Engineer

Our client , one of the largest producer of Limestone in North America with operations across Canada, USA and Mexico currently has an opening for Process Engineer for their Pennsylvania, USA location.

Reporting to the Plant Manager. The Process Engineer will be responsible for system and equipment troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance monitoring, defining outage work, maintenance priorities, supervisory on-calls and assisting with supervision of the production crews.
Duties:
- Test and evaluate equipment performance with recommended solutions;
- Develop and implement best practices for kiln and boiler system operation and maintenance as well as capital improvements;
- Develop and implement improved boiler preventative maintenance processes;
- Oversee electrical and functional tests on all new and repaired equipment prior to putting into service;
- Staff, train, tune, improve and operate the lime kilns and heat recovery, steam generating system;
- Coordinate and supervise work provided by outside contractors and vendors;
- Acting as a relief supervisor to assist with coverage when production supervisor offsite;
- Leverage new technologies and ideas for efficiency and operating improvement;
- Improve the processing and support systems efficiency once the commissioning of new process systems completed;
- Handling emergency calls as necessary;
- Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

- Engineering degree or related technical degree.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in industrial process.
- Boiler, steam turbine and generator experience preferred.
- Excellent hands-on plant experience with root cause analysis, troubleshooting, maintaining and repairing of industrial processing equipment.
- Experience with ASME Codes and industry best practices.
- Ability to lead and promote good working relationships between departments both internal and external.
- Able to meet deadlines and to ensure resolution of plant problems.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Strong team working skills.
- Safety conscious with a proven safety record.
- Must be self-starter, able to prioritize and multi tasks.
- Proficient of Microsoft Office Suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), JD Edwards experience a plus.
