Principal Design Engineer

We are currently seeking a highly creative Principal Design Engineer to join the R&D team at our Waltham, MA location. This person will lead the innovation process to:Create conceptual design of novel products to advance business goals Define technical solutions for complex problems and lead efforts to realize technical solutions Proactively interact with customers and health care providers to determine customer needs and design solutions Identify key technology trends in drug delivery relevant to diabetes care, evaluate and assess competitive products, processes and new technologies Lead cross functional planning, coordination and reviews in all phases of medical device development

Requirements and skills include:BS Industrial Design or Mechanical Engineering (Advanced degrees preferred)Minimum 5-10 years experience Demonstrated ability to design solutions based on voice of customer/customer needsExperience with ergonomic design and human factors engineeringProficiency in Pro/E and SolidWorksStrong project management abilitiesStrong analytical and problem solving skillsDemonstrated knowledge in the product development processDemonstrated ability to communicate concepts, ideas and knowledge to othersExperience with ISO requirements, GMP guidelines, FDA regulations
