Power Engineer
ELECTRICAL POWER ENGINEERS
The National Security Agency (NSA) currently has opportunities available for highly motivated Electrical Power Engineers with all levels of experience. This well-rounded team of engineers is responsible for high, medium and low voltage electrical power installations around the world including emergency and supplemental power generation, primary (HV) and secondary (LV) electrical substations, overhead and underground power distribution, SCADA systems, digital and analog power protection equipment, large scale UPS systems, building services, switchgear, power conditioning equipment, as well as general lighting, grounding, and lighting protection systems.
Qualifications:
Successful candidates should possess strong written and oral communication skills and demonstrate understanding of key principles of electrical power engineering. Ability to work well in a fast-paced, challenging environment is essential. A BSEE or MSEE degree is highly desired. Individuals who will be graduating from a BSEE or MSEE program in May 2007 are also encouraged to apply.

U.S. Citizenship is required for all applicants. A security clearance must be granted prior to employment and you will be required to undergo extensive pre-employment processing. This includes: aptitude testing; an interview with a psychologist and a security interview conducted with the aid of a polygraph; and a personnel interview.
