Pipeline Optimization Engineer

Engineering liaison between Engineering, Operations and Field Maintenance, focusing on the efficient operation of the Western Area Pipe Line Systems. Duties include: managing the western area power consumption; maintaining power contracts; developing power cost tracking for various pipeline systems; developing power budgets; tracking and reporting variances; developing management reports for various levels of management; implementing process and procedure changes to lower power cost; and identifying projects and other capital project to lower power cost. This position owns the pipe line system hydraulic models, MOP calculations and documentation, hydrotest records and final engineering approval, and Management of Change records and process. Reviews operational issues and abnormal operating reports, and involves the appropriate personnel to develop and implement recommendations for improvement.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering with ten plus years of pipeline engineering, operations and maintenance experience. Strong communications skills (verbal and written). Ability to communicate with pipeline operators and field maintenance technicians.
