Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of roadway design, including geometric design, drainage design, right-of-way, erosion control, cost estimates, construction sequencing, and plan development for Alabama Department of Transportation roadway projects. Candidate will lead design efforts and be responsible for directing junior engineers and technicians. Requirements: Requirements of qualified candidates include a B.S. in Civil Engineering, Alabama P.E., 7+ years experience in roadway/highway transportation, and previous project management experience. Previous experience should include design of all types of highways and drainage systems. Knowledge of ALDOT design practices a plus. MicroStation and InRoads design software experience is required.
