PROJECT DIRECTOR (FEDERAL PROGRAMS)

The Laurel, Maryland office of Greenhorne & O’Mara, Inc. has an opportunity for a Project Director (Federal Programs).

 

The candidate must have these basic qualifications/requirements:
• A Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering

• A minimum of 10 years experience

• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) or 10 years active duty military engineer

• Proven project management skills including client interaction and staff mentoring

• Experience with the business development and project procurement process including RFP, DD Forms 254 and 255, Fee proposals and negotiations

• Ability to manage large federal projects

• Track record of successful federal project management

• Ability to travel

• US Citizenship

 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with multiple COE, AFCEE and/or NAVFAC districts/divisions and other federal agencies

• Ability to work in a team environment

• Strong team leadership experience

• Microsoft Project experience

• Ability to manage large public sector projects

• Security Clearance

Responsibilities for the Federal Programs include: marketing, business development, proposal preparation and negotiation, contract management, client management, project management, QA/QC, billing, collections, overview of project design team and development of the construction documents, mentoring of staff and other duties as assigned.
