Would you like to be part of a team that provides support and solutions to our Armed Forces and the Nation? Would you like to use your expertise in Engineering to work on exciting projects on the Fort Sam Houston Army Base? As a Structural Engineer you will provide support in the US Army Corp of Engineers' vision to transform the Fort Sam Houston Base to be the primary Military Base in Texas. These important projects include upgrading existing structures and buildings and construction of additional facilities such as barracks, medical facilities and parking garages.
We have an opportunity for you to be a part of the ETI team working on site for the United State Army Corp of Engineers. If you have experience in the following areas we need you!
- Overall project coordination
- Structural roofing installation
- Welding procedures
- Planning Inspections
- Quality Assurance Examinations
- Preparing Narrative Reports
- Reviewing Structural Submittals
- Performing forensic oversight investigations
- Mentoring
- Peer reviews
As a Structural Engineer you will serve as the subject matter expert in structural roofing installations, welding procedures and other Structural Construction practices. You will provide engineering expertise as needed to resolve design and construction related problems encountered during construction. This includes extensive experience with design software. Typical construction projects are barracks, hangers, medical facilities, dormitories, training facilities, multi-story tower and parking garages, vehicle maintenance facilities, and storage facilities. Serves as the technical point of contact for field personnel, providing, welding, structural installation and roofing technical assistance.
You will work independently, without direction, but as an integral part of the non-traditional engineering and construction team for the benefit of the customer.
Selected candidate must be licensed with the State of Texas as a Professional Engineer.
Additionally, you will be subject to a government security investigation and must have US citizenship.
